I'm letting the cat out of the bag now. I said a couple of weeks ago that I was going to be working on some "secret works" as someone put it, well here is the first part.

I said I was going to do something that wasn't the usual for me and I said the series of pics would all belong to the same series, and that series if you hadn't guessed already, is Pokemon.

Why... well, after reading some articles about 10 years of Pokemon to pass the time on a rainy, boring day, I remembered a character from one of the many movies, Melody (second movie), and decided to draw a character, "Kia" http://www.sheezyart.com/view/946952/

After looking around to find a picture of Melody (who I'm drawing as well), I found a picture of May and thought about drawing her too. She's a character I like the look of. I looked at her and just thought that if I try and draw her, I'm gonna mess up... so I went for the safe option and decided to reCG the pic and try some new things too.

Also, going though all this Pokemon stuff just reminded me how much I liked it back in the day and that the concept of it all is still a pretty good one. So with all these memories coming back and that, I realised that this was my first venture into anime and all that and it started my interest in anime and manga today.

I tried to perfect a lineart style with this and it worked, to a point. I still need to tinker with the settings and perfect it. I had to use my colouring/highlights/shading techniques, because the pic I had wasn't so good, so I couldn't rely on that. I kept the original eye style cause I thought that was best with what I was doing.

I think it's good, could be a little better here and there and if the original pic was drawn better. I found a few Pokemon songs that really great to listen to when working on this ^^

Anyways, I said this was a start of the "secret works" and since you know the series, I may as well let the rest of the cats out of the bag. I've got three more pics planned, one of Ashley in different clothes, if he was a Pokemon fan character of mine, he'd be wearing these clothes and he's wearing something different, so that's all good. The second one is Ashley getting set for a battle with my favourite Pokemon ever. I'll be using the image of Ashley in the first pic in this one. The reason is for it is that this was my favourite Pokemon and if I had to draw one, it was only ever going to be this one. The third one is a pic of Melody from the second movie as I've said. The reason is that I like her and when she played "the song", I just thought that it was beautiful. I've always wanted to draw her, so I will.

Thinking about the second pic with Ash and the Pokemon, made me thing about Hayley and Flo too and what I could do for them. So after all this, if I'm in the mood, I may do pics for them.
