Human-ish Rendan Scratchdoodle

Hmm, another update, and with this another showing of a character none of you are familiar with yet, so you probably won't quite understand what's up with this one. I'd say it's because I'm evil, but it's really the fact that this is just how I upload this stuff: randomly.

So, yeah, this is Rendan, an RP character I made over the summer. But this is him as I might see him as a human-ish person. Yes, that's right, kiddies! You're not seeing him as he actually is. I'm afraid that's an oopsie on my part. He's actually a half-anthro with mini wings. His daddy was a tiger anthro. Yeahs. His mommy was something like a Wingly, I guess; I'm only familiar with Kaku's Winglies so I'm not sure just HOW similar they are. They're not the same exact race, in any case. o_o;

Oh yeah, and he's blue. BLUE. Don't ask me how he got blue fur from an orange tiger. I don't quite know. But yes... bluuuuue. I likes the blue. But I think he would be normally-colored if he was like this! I don't really know how I could make him blue here without him looking like he's a chunk of people-ice. It is bad to make people-ice, yes. D:

Did this as a few hours-long picture with some India ink and a new Speedball pen I was trying out. I quite like this kind of inking. You can actually feel the scratchmarks the pen leaves on the paper! So yeah, you can see where I messed up, what guidelines I used, and what areas I did first and what I decided to add on later. Fuuuun. There are several things about this picture I'm not happy about, like his hands, his near forearm being too long, his near wing being all fucked up, lost, and confused, his far leg/foot/shoe, to some extent his near foot/shoe, and his very screwed-up hair. But, on a whole, I quite like it. Not too bad for a first go at the dab-your-pen-in-the-bottle inks, I think! I might redraw this picture sometime in the future 'cos I like it so much. You know, fix all the mistakes and make it neater and such. Hopefully without ruining the flow and ruggedness of the image, though. D:

Oh! And, more info on Rendan shall come as I upload more pictures of him, though when that will be, I don't really know... o___O;
