If you'd like to see all the other artwork my classmates did click here.

In AP Studio Art we had an assignment in which we had to include the human hands. I didn't want to just draw a hand alone because that would be too simple for me (and I don't like to draw hands, so I might as well add in something I'd enjoy. )

I got the idea of doing a drawing of Mike with my hand on his face, but then I decided to include myself cuddling up to his face. We asked my mom to take the photographss for me, but my mom took forever to come to my room the day we were modeling so Mike took a few shots himself. I believe he took this one. =) I liked it the best from all the shots I got because it has a nice composition and has some complexity to it.

This was completely done with graphite.

ADVANCED CRITIQUE ENCOURAGED
Note: When giving me critique on this piece, please be aware that I had flash on, which made the graphite somewhat "shiny", taking away some of the value from the piece. Also, since my piece is on the wall this shot was taken at an angle.

Holy- This is amazing. Great job. Just... you saw my comment on the sketch before, I can't give ay more crit. for a 24 hour period.

Just... wow...

SenseiTari Says:

This is really good. Even though I can't do any better, Mike's nose looks a little small, but that's it from me. I think it's great

PrincessAurora Says:

Holy crap. You're incredible.

DJScythe17 Says:

That...just...RAWKS! Another spectacular work in an unexpected medium! Bravo!

alcarinhwesta Says:

I would offer contructive criticism, but you obviously don't need it. This is breath-taking. It's not just the well-drawn forms, it's the emotion and sense of space that caught my eye. This is fabulous.

Usara Says:

I had no idea you were such an artist!

Natsu Says:

There was a kid i was in school with who was unbelievabely amazing with graphite and almost any medium, lol. But this reminds me of what he could do. You did a great job. I told you yours was the best I like that one on the far left with the orange background. Mixing mediums like that was something he also did

Minstrel Ayreon Says:

Wow...this is extremely good!

Since you asked for a real nitpicking, I only see one possible nit, and that's that the ear looks a bit...linear and angular, if that makes sense, not quite as rounded as I expected. Now since I can't see the reference, I could be wrong to point that out. But since you asked.

Overall, I think this is a creative way to answer the assignment, and I like the gentleness of the love between the two of them. It's nice to see something this tender.

sugriesweet2006 Says:

Beautiful. I can feel the love and warmth coming off the paper.

Crestine Says:

God Vensy you win so hard. Some of the most pain and the butt things to draw on the human face are the nose and ears....I hate hate hate drawing ears. I do have to agree mikes nose looks a bit small but other wise it's breath taking..I'm jealous ;o;. Ps your still the most adorable couple ever.
