Chapter 7: Why I Don't Trust Women with Baby Strollers

About half an hour later Yami and Bakura somehow manged to get into a town. It looked like a normal tourist city...almost like Atlantic City in America. There wasn't as many people as they thought there would be but there were signs of life. That made Yami more relaxed about the situation.

%u201CSo where in the hell do we get a video camera in this place anyway?%u201D Bakura asked, he was walking with his hands on his head.

%u201CAccording to this map that that strange lady with the cat gave us it should be close!%u201D Yami said.

%u201CWhat let me see that!%u201D Bakura snatched it out of Yami's hands %u201C...Do you understand this map?%u201D

Yami paused %u201CYes...no...maybe so?%u201D

%u201CDo you even know which way we came?%u201D

%u201CWhat do i look like a navigator? NO I DON'T!%u201D

Bakura sighed %u201CDamnit we're lost!%u201D He threw the map on the ground and sat down on the curb.

Yami picked up the map %u201CWell maybe we can just ask someone which way is the appliance store and then ask if they know where the beach is! I mean we're staying right across the street from it so people have to know!%u201D

%u201CGood idea...ask that person!%u201D Bakura pointed to a creepy old man in a box in front of a strip club.

Yami coughed %u201CBakura, how about we just ask that nice woman with the baby stroller? You know someone who looks TRUSTWORTHY!%u201D

The woman turned around and smiled %u201CYes?%u201D

%u201CUh yeah me and my friend were wondering where is the appliance store?%u201D Yami asked politely 'There's something about this woman that reminds me of someone...'

%u201CRight across the street in that building!%u201D The woman pointed out the place. It looked really old and abandoned.

Yami looked suspicious %u201CUh...that looks like a strange place to keep things at...%u201D

%u201CI don't know but that's where i get my baby's bottles everyday. Well see ya!%u201D The woman walked off

%u201CThanks again!%u201D Yami started running back to Bakura.

The woman stopped and pulled out a microphone %u201CThey'll be coming soon, so get ready...%u201D
Tristen, Duke, Yugi, Serenity, Tea, Ryou and Joey were standing in the main room of the hotel with all their beach stuff ready. Joey volunteered to drive to the beach...but the beach was right across the street so what the heck would be the point? They were all checking to see if they had everything.

Tristen was reading off a list. %u201CTowels...?%u201D

Serenity held up a bag full of different towels %u201CCheck!%u201D

%u201C...sun tan lotion...%u201D

%u201CDouble check%u201D Ryou held up a bottle of sunscreen.

%u201CBasket full of the Wal-Mart chicken i bought before we came?%u201D

%u201CThat was for now?%u201D Joey asked %u201CI thought it was for the plane ride..oops...%u201D

%u201CYOU ATE IT ALL?%u201D Tristen yelled in his face

%u201CI helped, i thought it was for the plane ride too!%u201D Yugi confessed

Tristen growled %u201CNext time, KEEP YOUR MOUTHS OFF MY CHICKEN! Didn't even get a piece of my own damn chicken...%u201D

Tea looked around. %u201CWhere's Kaiba?%u201D

Everyone looked at each other.

%u201CIn his room?%u201D Duke said in a 'You-already-know-the-answer' voice

%u201CYou mean MY room%u201D Ryou said in a low voice.

%u201CWe can't just leave Kaiba in his room, he's on vacation!%u201D Yugi complained

%u201CYes we can..watch!%u201D Joey grabbed a bag and headed out the door, but Serenity pulled him back.

She gave him a 'Please-Brother-Please' look %u201CJoey, ask Kaiba if he wants to come...%u201D

About 2 minutes later everyone was standing in front of Kaiba's door.
%u201CI can't believe i'm going to ask Kaiba if he wants to come...%u201D Joey sighed

%u201CDon't worry Joey we'll be right behind you...%u201D Tristen said as he and the other started walking down the hall %u201CBehind you...down here!%u201D

%u201CHEY DON'T LEAVE TO TO-%u201D

Kaiba opened the door.

Joey gulped and looked up at him %u201C-deal...with...him...%u201D

%u201CWhat?%u201D Kaiba asked impatiently,he looked tired.

%u201CWell we was wondering if you'd...uh...like to come...to da...beach with us?%u201D Joey put a big cheesy smile on.

%u201CNo%u201D Kaiba shut the door but Joey wasn't ready to give up.

%u201CHey, i know you aren't going to spend the rest of our time in that room!%u201D Joey said.

%u201CNo, now go away.%u201D Kaiba attempted to shut the door again, but Joey didn't budge.

%u201CKaiba just come %u201C Joey said a very calm voice. Kaiba was taken back. %u201CJust come for at least 3 seconds and then you can leave! Please?%u201D

Kaiba stared at him for a minute and said %u201CLet me change.%u201D He went back into his room.

Joey stood there speechless, until everyone came up to him.

%u201CIt's alright! Can can be an asshole and stay!%u201D Duke said

%u201CJust forget what he said!%u201D Tea told him.

Joey stopped them %u201CNo, he's getting ready...he said he'll come.%u201D

It took a while for everyone to understand that. %u201CHE SAID YES?%u201D

Joey smiled %u201CI'm kinda freaked out by it too...%u201D

%u201CHa Ha, Yami and Bakura missed it! It would have been nice to see their faces after that!%u201D Ryou started to laugh.

Kaiba walked out of his room and locked the door. To everyone's surprise he was wearing his swim trunks and a tee-shirt, something appropriate for the beach.

Everyone stared at each other for a minute. Yugi spoke up %u201CHOW ABOUT THAT BEACH GUYS?%u201D
Yami and Bakura entered the suspicious appliance store. Inside was almost empty except shelves of junk.

Yami picked up a pentagon shaped thing that had a screw coming out of it %u201CWhat the hell is this?%u201D

Bakura studied it %u201CHmm...some new fangled machine these 20th century humans use.%u201D

%u201CHello how may i help you?%u201D

Yami and Bakura jumped back %u201CYOU SCARED THE SHIT OUT OF ME!%u201D

It was a man in a tuxedo %u201CSorry, but are you two looking for something specific?%u201D

Yami was about to say something but Bakura opened his mouth first %u201CYeah! We want a toaster or a video camera! Do you have any?%u201D

%u201COh yes follow me into the special room...%u201D The man started walking as a sign for them to follow. The two followed hesitantly.

%u201CBakura...i have a bad feeling...%u201D Yami whispered to Bakura

%u201COh no, 'let's trust the lady with the baby', remember?%u201D Bakura mocked and rolled his eyes.

When they got to the back, the man opened a door %u201CPlease step in...%u201D

Yami and Bakura walked in. And Bakura noticed something %u201CWait a minute THIS IS A BROOM CLOSET!%u201D

-CLICK- The man locked the two in the closet

%u201COh shit!%u201D Yami said and quickly tried to open the door but it was locked tight. %u201CDAMN!%u201D

%u201COH YEAH TRUST THE LADY WITH A BABY..OH AND SHE HAS A JOB! IT WAS HER JOB TO TAKE US HERE! AT LEAST WE KNOW THE HOBO DIDN'T HAVE A JOB BUT NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO I'M WRONG!%u201D Bakura bitched on and on for a few more minutes. Yami just couldn't believe how easily tricked he let himself get.

%u201CARE YOU LISTENING?%u201D Bakura asked

%u201CNo i'm trying to think of a way out! But you whining isn't helping!%u201D Yami snapped

%u201CDon't give me attitude this is YOUR fault!%u201D Bakura snapped back.

Yami stepped up to Bakura and they stared at each other hard.

%u201CMove%u201D Bakura walked passed Yami and knelled to the key hole. He pulled a knife out of his pocket. %u201CI'm going to try to unlock the door, make yourself useful and look for some weapons! Because there are two big ass bodyguards outside!%u201D

Yami nodded %u201COk...%u201D

About half an hour later Bakura manged to unlock the door. %u201Cwhew, i finally got it!%u201D

%u201CAlright here!%u201D Yami handed him a piece of wood %u201CYou hit him with the wood and i'll hit the other with this lamp!%u201D

%u201CFine...%u201D Bakura look the wood. The sneaked out of the closet and walked right behind the two guards. They raised their weapons...

Unfortunately..the guards didn't budge from the hit. They turned about and stood about 7 feet higher then the yami's.

Yami and Bakura stood close to each other in fear %u201CUh...you two were supposed to fall down...%u201D

%u201CGrrr...%u201D The guards started to grab them but Yami pulled Bakura and they started to run.

%u201CDon't let them get away!%u201D The man in the tuxedo announced.

Yami and Bakura exchanged looks. %u201CCool...%u201D

The beach was very empty. There was a population of like...ten. Yugi, Serenity, Duke and Ryou started building sand castles. Tea, Tristen, and Joey were in the water trying to adjusted to it. Kaiba was about 5 feet away staring into the ocean.

%u201CDAMN! The water's cold!%u201D Joey said sticking his toe in the water.

%u201CWhat, do you want it to be hot?%u201D Tristen asked sarcastically, he was waist deep in the water.

%u201CCome on Joey, get in here!%u201D Tea said, she was already swimming around.

%u201COk...JERONIMO!%u201D Joey started to run into the water.

%u201CJOEY, MY CASTLE YOU HEFFER!%u201D Duke shouted

Tristen crossed his arms %u201CJust ask Tea, and if not, i'll just kidnap Yugi. At least Kaiba's a strong person on your team...%u201D

Tea walked across the sand toward Kaiba. Yugi looked up and saw.

Tea walked slower and slower until she was right up to him. Kaiba didn't even notice her standing there. He looked like he was daydreaming.

'What is he looking at?' Tea asked herself.

Joey looked over and saw that Kaiba was following Tea back to their sot.

%u201COKAY!%u201D Duke started to run over to them. Everyone ,except Kaiba, sweat dropped.

Joey stood up in the water %u201COkay first teams i- HEY KAIBA GET IN THE WATER!%u201D

Kaiba growled again and finally got all the way in the water.

%u201CYawn...Oh Kaiba you made it! Okay Teams!%u201D Joey stood up again. %u201CMe and the Tristonater, Ren and Ryou, Kaibs and Tea, Yuge and Duke.%u201D

Everyone looked at each other.

'I lost...'

'I HAVE TO WORK WITH KAIBA? JOEY WILL BURN!'

'Ha Ha that's what Tea gets for throwin rocks at Joey Wheeler!'

'Serenity's going to sit on my arms? i hope i don't get too red.'
