Flames

The time has passed where everything was simple and carefree. A new time has come, a new age has arrived. A new era of complexity and intricacy has come into being. This is a new life, a life known as the future. It%u2019s full of hardship and despair. Through all this difficulty though, there is a flame. This flame has but a dim light. Despite it%u2019s shortcomings in the darkness now, it still has a chance to become an inferno, lighting the world ablaze with glory and grandeur. But first this time of hardship must pass, while we tend to this tiny flame. During this time though, we must be wary and cautious as to any danger that may lie ahead for this still tiny flame.

This tiny flame is everything in our lives. It is every decision we make and every action we take. It is our family and friends. It%u2019s our education and our freedoms. It%u2019s everything we hold close to our hearts. If we, as humans, do not take care of these things and be cautious with them, they may never be the same. Every time you take one step to ensure the safety of someone you love you are tending to your flame. Every time you ensure that you make the correct decision, you are taking one step closer to a brighter future.

Not every step you take and decision you make will be concrete. Maybe none will be. But for those people that you did care for, now maybe they will care for you. If you help someone tend to their flame to help their future be just a little brighter, the may help you build up your fire. When you make the decision to help someone, you are making a definitive choice to build upon your fire and the fire of those you help.

As our flames get larger, so do our responsibilities. Our need for aid grows, as does the need of aid by the people you%u2019ve helped along the way. The circle expands, and more and more people join in the cause to build upon their own fire. Soon there is a community, a family. A group of people willing to not only help you, but willing to help everyone expand their boundaries and tend to their ever growing flame. As the trust in the community builds, and more people enter in, everyone%u2019s flame grows larger and larger.

Now, after this community has formed and flames have been tended to, there is a realization. This sudden comprehension is that as large as each individual%u2019s flame is, they can%u2019t get any larger. The reason being is that no one person is fully connected with another. The commitment of a community has been made, but there is still a boundary existing between each individual person. To have a true, powerful effect, there must be unity, a deeper connection. A deeper bond between two people to form what was truly desired from the very beginning, an inferno.

The unity of two not only forms a brighter light, but also creates more room. As each inferno is built, there are small flares and embers to create new flames, new life. This new life follows the same path, gaining aid from the right decisions, helpful friends, and the infernos that created them.

As each inferno grows through time, there are some that begin to dim. Eventually, a once great inferno will turn to mere ashes. Those ashes though, mark room for the embers of tomorrow to grow into future greatness.
