Dark Poetry

Your hidden metaphors remain that
your grand symbols remain just that
To the eyes of the blind, you're just another piece of dark poetry
Your complex allegories are just too hard to grasp
your references misunderstood
to the mind of a simple man, you're just another piece of dark poetry
Complaining without reason, they call you
Words without feeling, they haunt you.
Never knowing your true message
never understanding your true depth
Never finding tears behind truth
Never finding truth behind thoughts
Never finding the thoughts behind tears
Your messages concealed by your tone
Misleading in your mood
all they see is your darkness, that of dark dark poetry.

In search of meaning outside of one's self, it is important to understand that complexity is not always a sign of importance or even intellectual greatness.

Haha. We've all been there, I'm sure.
