Murrhurr. All I have to say is: I hate Noire, the flippin' bastard. He's the son of Thanos and likes him a little too much. Well, Swift practically choked him to death and Noire tore out his earring (hence the gash in his ear), and later shape-shifted into Swift; wanting to get 'revenge'. *Mutters* He looked, sounded, and acted like Swift. Then he did this.
Now Thanos doesn't know one thing from another, and has gone to Noire for comfort, seeing as how the two are actually close father-and-son wise, though Noire wishes for it to go further and for him to leave Swift.
Right now, this is how he is doing it, and that is what inspired this picture and its... bloodyness. The gash across his throat (and further) is from when he 'attacked' him, and he's actually crying blood, yes.

Also! Mind you all, Thanos's blood is black, not red. Nurrhurr.
