And unfortunately, I don't think I did a very good job of drawing her. I went overboard.
which is what happens when you draw in the middle of the night.
I think I sort of destroyed her.
And drawing people smoking has never been something I'm fond of -- in fact, I don't draw people smoking at all, so this was something completely different. (None of my characters smoke. lol. well, maybe Van, but he's nuts. But no one else.) But i'm not going to preach.
I know lots of outstanding people who smoke. it's a habit. a not good one, but it is one. sort of like biting nails. Sort of.
mentioned that Polly's slightly insane. I was sort of trying to go for that here. And no, Polly's not a geisha. I don't know how the hell that happened, but I was sort of trying to...give out some sublime subliminal message in this. If you can figure it out, then you're just as insane as I am. Good stuff.
I think I'll try again, (drawing Polly) because I'm not so sure how I feel about this and I don't think
would approve. lol. I'm so sorry Jamie. I should never try to be artsy again.

the coloring is gorgeous, i especially like the way you did the lips. and the smoking seems to just enhance the emotion and atmosphere, it's not necissarily bad. And a long description also can mean that you took care and time to write it out, so don't freak out.
