Gosh, it's been a long time since I've worked intensely with colored pencils...
This is a portrait of Pierce Brosnan, the actor who played James Bond. I didn't like him much before, but now I'll admit he's kind of sexy. Even though he's like, fifty. Or something.
Anyway.... Possibly the longest time I've spent on a drawing. I don't even know the number of hours. I've been working on this for at least four days, just sitting there and drawing. So. The colors got a bit messed up in the scan, but this will have to do.
Edit: A Featured Artwork! Oh my God! Thank you all so much.... And I'm so sorry for being late, I've been so busy and haven't checked in lately... But this is a very warm welcome back!

Thanks so so much, again!

Beautifully done, though I have always been more of a Sean Connery fan when it comes to the Bond films, Pierce Brosnan is a close match. And both look damned sexy in their Naval uniforms, course James is a Naval Commander of the British Fleet. Only to be seen in the films to be worn by three of the Bond actors. Sean, Roger and finally Pierce.
I think you've pulled him off nicely here, even showing him at an older age. He is in his fifties, roughly Fiftyy Two or Fifty Three...thereof...so, well done you! A Brilliant masterpiece.

Great picture ....... Pierce is a great actor and my favourite of the James Bond actors (Timothy Dalton coming in a close second.) :)

Wow, this is wonderful. You did a great job with the color pencil. Color pencil can be difficult to control sometimes I think, so this is awesome! You even did such a great job doing the colors of his skin, so that it's not perfect and smooth, but realistic!!

Those are some of the best eyes I've seen on a drawing, really striking

Very cool! Having tried to work with colored pencils, I appreciate the work that went into this. Trust me, my colored stuff doesn't come out NEARLY this good.

What I especially like is that while it's quite realistic, you're not afraid to let it be clear that it's a drawing. That gives it a soul you don't see in photorealistic drawings.
Congrats on the Featured Art!
