This looks to be a trend going on both here and dA, so this is a very rare look into my old sketchbooks from when I was a lad of 14, just beginning to really learn the craft and nobody to really teach me but myself.
For those who watch me or have perused my gallery, the character on the left is Hiro Mizugin, a queen's guard in a role playing chat I used to frequent, and is the basis for the design that became (over the course of 10 years) Kezef. This was kinda our victory portrait after a long RPing war... Gimme a break, it was fun at the time ^-^ I started to base my style around the art of Sailor Moon and Ranma 1/2, then branch out from there.

Oh, wow! You certainly have improved a lot! I adore the new picture, and the character designs are great. I love your skill at expressions as well, your characters always seem to express a lot of emotion.
Now I just try to improve my writing and drawing...I hope that my artwork grow to be as good as yours is now as long as I work at it. ^^
It's really neat seeing your old picture from when you where 14...I think I would have been in preschool that year(since I remember Kindergarten being 1997). It's also interesting to see how you based off Ranma and Sailor Moon, and came up with such a nice style of your own...your style has always looked somewhat Valkyrie-Profile-y to me, actually. =D I don't blame you for the roleplaying chats, I used to do that aaaaall the time, quite obsessively in fact, until the one person I roleplayed with walked out on me.
