Lacking words to decribe society
What truly defines a person in a world that is filled with fake people? The person that we were born to be, are being erased by pop culture and pressures from the society we live in. Girls need to be wearing size zero pants and jeans, while guys need to be muscular and macho.
In order to get a guy in this day and age, girls need to have big breasts and wear pounds of make-up to cover up their true face. But, for someone to like you for what is on the outside is clearly wrong. It never works for celebrities, seeing how some of them are with a new husband or wife every other week. How do we stand-out, when all the world wants to do is shut us out...?
Does no one value personality anymore...? Do i have to look like a babe just to get a guy to talk to me? Sometimes it feels just like that, normal is too common and that the "ocean" is getting too crowded with "fish". So female "fish" put on a brillant display of colors in order to attract males to it's side. The normal colored fish are utterly tossed aside, like an old toy a child grew out of.
Normally adults condemn that kind of thinking. "compairing humans to animals is wrong". Well i think society is thinking too much of itself because that is the truth. Cruel, yet, surprisingly real all together. the male fish will swim to the prettiest mate and guys will flock to girls that look like sluts.
That makes the remaining portion of the female population feel ignored and the desire for the other girls to "get" that beauty for themselves. To the point of almost killing themselves from anorexia to being shunned by their families for get cosmetic surgery. To lose themselves and gain someones else in return.
It's not worth it... to shed your outer apperance to live someone else's life and still feel empty in the end. So, take heart all young women and live your lives with pride. Someday... somewhere... in the vast oceanic blue... the is a man, waiting for you.

GOLLY, at my school, some people get shunned just because they don't shop at hollister, or have the best clothes, or are pretty, the whatnot! D:

And that, ladies and gentlemen, is why I say society is just one big fat hypocritical mistake. It supports unreasonable or unfathomable traditions and standards and tries to pull away humans from being the animals which they are supposed to be. Society is little more than a joke with no punch line, and it is best to ignore it. Beauty should not be defined by what is worn on the face, but by the flesh itself, and the person beneath it. I may not be able to fully relate to parts of this presentation, but I understand your point is the same as the one I have been preaching for many years. Nice work. :3

Yep that's true and my friend Kitty states that it's ALWAYS the looks and not personality to get a guy. It makes me sick that women HAVE to wear make-up and dress in scanty clothing just to KEEP a guy.
I hate make-up and anything less than pants and short sleeve shirts. I have a journal up about this.
Psyconorikan Says:
Yup I agree, I refuse to wear slutty clothing. Screw guys, I have my pride.
