WHEW! At long last, my art trade with my dear friend Kay! I'm glad I waited tho, cause I'd had Tourniquet drawn and inked for ages, and went to color her tonight and was finally inspired to add in this background. Because I couldn't, for the life of me, think of one before. :(
So, this is Tourniquet. The first picture I ever drew for Kay was an art trade featuring Tourniquet. And... I couldn't find the full backstory to her so I will attempt to remember as many details as possible. Tourniquet was a nun-thing and tried to kill herself and was punished for doing so and now she's all undead and stuff. So she always has this mask cause her cuts always bleeeeed. And. I love ribbony things. I think they are hot. And bandages are kinda like ribbons. But not. Who cares this is still sexy. So is Tourniquet.
Technical crap: Done in pencils, inked with microns, colored with prisma markers and watercolor pencils for base colors, then watercolor pencils, prisma pencils, and acrylic paint for accents and details. The scan turned it way more orange than it really is. It was supposed to have some, but just as a glow. In the real pic, the tones are much more neutral. I had also intended to do detailed goldish designs on the banners in acrylic but the color I needed to do this got fubared and dried and crusty. So none of that. :'( Also, as I used watercolor pencils on almost the entire thing, the paper warped a bit. I tried ironing it under a pillowcase but it didn't entirely flatten it. Also, I know the flaws in this. I see them. Trust me. Critique if it makes you feel warm and fuzzy but I don't care.
Moral of the story: Kay I will snail mail you this

it's been a long time since I mailed you stuff anyway. >: D
