the bottom of the sea holds so much wonder... most of which we miss out on. but dare to imagine the beauty which waits below.

this was the last piece i was able to finish coloring before my wacom completely gave up on me (well, last mythical like piece... i did some tarot cards, but they're displayed on dA) *cries*. i like this one a lot because it was one of the few times i actually digitally drew something in the background (i'm more of a traditional person than a digital one)

*** Thank you very much for the feature on this piece! i'm glad many people enjoyed this picture as much as i had fun doodling it in the back of class LOL

There is so much detail in this image I could just not ignore this one as well. It comes with such eye pleasing detail and and intriging description. There is something about the pose I really like and the blues are rather soothing and freeing.

I love your artwork This is very pretty. Both of the sea-creatures (hope you dont mind me calling them ) are beautiful, and like how they are designed.

Now I don't usually go for anime, but the colors here were so striking when I saw it as a Featured Art that I just HAD to click and take a look. There's a LOT of detail here and the pose is very different from what I usually see that it comes off as a lot more than just "generic anime".

The only thing that is a little of an optical illusion for me is that the tail of the sea-lady points to the dragon-creature in a way where it almost appears as if the two are physically connected to each other, and I'm not sure if that's what you intended.

But overall, I'm liking this. There seem to be new details to find each time, like the dragon-creature's earring. You do a great job with drawing the eye to that by choosing a non-blue color, but not one that's so glaring that it deters people from looking at the rest of the drawing. I also like how you have all of the designs in the background--just bold enough to give the sense of a lot of activity, but just muted enough so you can pick the two main subjects out.

Congratulations on the Featured Art! I'm so sorry it took me so long to get to this, but I've had a tumultuous week to say the absolute least.
