Final Fantasy people are harder to draw than I had expected. I had a reference.
I'll put up the link later. I thought my whole life was gonna be stuck to pure anime, but.. I think semi-realism is more me, especially after this piece.

Respect on a really awesome pencil drawing. I find the hair ends particularly impressive, as every strand seems perfectly tipped. Face and cloak do not disappoint. And as you say, FF characters are graphically quite a chore; I don't think I'd even try to draw one for quite a while yet. Advent Children demonstrates this as well :)
One question though: What size is the original drawing?
