Last year (was written a week later), a teacher at my school, Ms. Bobbie McGowan, recieved news that her son, Stephan McGowan, was killed on the battle field out in Iraq. He was a war medic and, sadly, was shot while helping someone else. I don't really know either Ms. McGowan nor her son all that well, but would like to express my sympathy for them during this time with this peice.
