V is one of my new chars for a short story I'm writing called "SEED6"
She was the art block breakthrough char when the Kid and I were working on Vibes earlier this year.
She's part of a sub-aquatic race called the Gnaquoteean [pronounced Hna'kwoh'tee'an] that venture the depths of the ocean to locate a new homeland, as there community is being ripped apart by undergound volcanos. She is the character in the drawing.
The bust is my first attempt at modeling with putty. My sister was playing around with the stuff and got me hooked. She's pretty damn good at this stuff too. Better than me I'd say but she's tell you differently. I'm a lot more 'technical' with the stuff.
So I figured, "I want to sculpt any one of my chars in clay, why not do it now while the supplies are avail." So here you go, a night in front of the machine with sis, a box of 4 colour modeling clay and a dream. 4 hours later .... I present you V.
NOTE: She's about 2" in height. A little muscular than expected but I like it because that's actually how the females of that specie are. The sun was softening it as well and when I was holding it rolled over on it's face and squished the right eyebrow a little. She's squinty, but it's all good.
