I received a lot of questions from people who were confused about Spider-Man's new look. Some of you aren't into comics and others of you just haven't kept up to date. Basically, in what I perceive as an effort to screw up one of Marvel's greatest character's he's been given more powers and a new look. I don't like the idea of Spider-Man taking a new look, but I really hate the colors of the "iron Spidey" costume (The name comes from the fact that Iron Man designed his costume and the colors are his as well). Peter now looks more like Iron-Man's mascot than anything else.
Most of you have seen the wall I recently posted showcasing my color variant, but you've never seen the original to compare. So, rather than leave you to wander the net looking. I have put the 2 side by side. On the left, the original image of the "Iron Spidey" as done by the talented Michael Turner. On the right is the same image only with my color edits. Although the black costume is my favorite of all Spider-Man's wardrobe changes, it's not why I chose black and white. I love his original costume, but it really wouldn't go well with the armor... At least in a way I can think of. Plus, I figure if he has to be changed at least have something that gives the armor more of a spiderman feel and less "Look what Tony Stark made for me!"
I considered sending the image to Marvel and maybe asking people to write in to get a color change. But then I realized Marvel sucks these days and I'm not going to waste effort to see them further ignore their fans and screw up one of my heroes and icons of the comic world.

you know, this kinda reminds me of spider man from the game Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 2, in that game he had 4 costumes to coose from

I agree, they did pretty much screw up a great character. I've always loved the black costume, personally. But that's probably just because I love Venom so much. I think your color sceme is so much better. At least it makes him seem like Spidey instead of Stark's mascot, as you said.
