At first I didn't even like the idea of Spiderman getting a new costume (or any of the other changes they're making with him). The old one is very beloved. As the cliche goes, "If it ain't broke..." One Iron Man was enough. We don't need Iron Man w/ spider powers. Even after I got past the idea of change, I still hated the new duds. Last night I realized why. The color scheme sucks. I know Tony Stark (Iron Man) designed Pete's new threads but that's still not an excuse to make him run around in same colors as Iron Man. Now he seems more like a side kick, (Iron Man jr) than his own hero.
I found an image done by Michael Turner. Despite the colors of the costume, it was awesome. I decided to do a wall for the new costume using the image, BUT I also decided to use colors I think look cool. I really don't believe Spidey's old colors would look all that great on the new costume. So, I went with my fav spiderman outfit colors. I think this looks a thousand times better! I kinda threw the BG together in a hurry cuz I really wanted to get people's feedback on my color edits.
Which do you prefer? Black and White or Red and Gold?

I love the colors, but makes him seem very much like Venom, which isn't a bad thing. Yeah, I have a lot of problems with the third movie, but you never know till you see it, they've yet to let me down lol But yeah, this is friggin awesome

um...yeah, i do like the black and white version much more...but can someone explain why the change in the first place? id fallen out of the comic book loopfor many reasons, and saw spidey comics in a store. why the change? can anyone here clarify?

Well, I'm not going to lie to you. The black and white isn't so hot. It just looks good in the pose from the Civil War #3 variant. Me? I always like the Cosmic Spidey outfit.
