Ch. 1
Without a Word You Spoke

It snowed that day. I didnt realize it was snowing untill I walked outside to rush my way to the bus stop for school. I steped out and felt cold liquid seeping into my shoes. I didnt really notice then either. I was going to be late for my prison time that all the adults called an education facility. I had missed the bus. School was always boring to me I thought as I ran to shcool. I was loved and hated by all. I was the guy all the girls wanted and all the guys wanted to be as some would say. I showed up at school just as the first bell was about to ring. I dashed through the halls and almost tripped over a stack of books. I rushed into my class room and sat down in my set the second the bell rang. " I made it! I thought I was going to be late but I made it.", I said as I gave out a sigh of relife. My friend,Kia, sat next to me in the back of the class as normal. " You are one lucky SOB, Raiser.", he said as he gave a smug laugh at the fact that he was right. I was lucky.

Most of the time I would be laying back in my chair just waitting for the last bell at the end of the day. It was almost winter break so we had just a few more days left untill we were out. This day was different somehow and I felt it. I was right. We had a new student come to our school. Yuki. That name fit him so well too. The only set left was next to me, but I didnt mind. It would give me the chace to welcome him to the school being the most and the best. The teacher, Mr.Angelicous, introduced him to the class and told him where to sit. He walked to the back of the room. I held out my had and gave him a smile and small greeting. " Hey, what's up? Name is Raiser Ito." , I said looking as cheerful as can be. He looked at me as though he didnt know what to think. I continued in saying, " Look, if you need any help with anything you can just come and ask me." I smiled and took his hand to shake. He blushed with a look of shock on his face. I turned around to face the front then raised my had for the teacher. He called on me and I said, " Mr.Angelicous, Yuki here, you forgot to give him a book." Mr.Angelicous cleared his throut saying, " Well, you do know where they are right, Raiser? Get him one so I may start class." I nodded standing up and walked over to the book shelf then grabed a book.

I looked back to Yuki as I walked tward him with a book. He was still blushing and holding the hand that I had just held. I never thought anything of it. I lay the book down on his desk. " Here you go. The class isn't hard once you get the hang of it. ", I said with a friendly smile on my face. He looked up at me saying in a shy timed voice, " Arigato..." I couldnt help but smile at the cute way he looked at me and then blushed looking at the Math book that lay there on the edge of his desk. The class started and I was working away at what math I understood. At that moment I felt a finger poke me on my left side. I looked over and It was Kia slitly stabbing me with his pencial. I asked," What? Im not going to let you copy me like last time, Kia." He gave me a look of death and said," Its not that. It's the new guy. He keeps lookeing at you like he wants to eat you or something.",looking at Yuki from behind. " So? Maybe he needs some help? Did you ever think of that, Kia?", asking him with a smirk on my face. Kia shruged and went back to work.

I turned around and saw that Kia was right. Yuki took a quick glance at me and looked back at his work. I leaned over tward him and asked, " Do you need help with your work, man?" I gave him a quick smile and saw that he was blushing yet again. I thought that he was just embarrested or something to ask for help, so I took it as a yes. I pointed to a symbol on the page we were all working from. " This here you have to divide be the sum and you should find your answer." I said. He just nodded and wrote down the answer. " I smiled and said, " See? You have it. Your not like Kia over here." Knowing Kia heard what I had just said gave a glare my way and said, " What was that,Ito?" I smiled nervously and replied," Kia, you know it was just a joke." I slightly laughed and I could hear Yuki lightly laughing behind me trying not to. The teacher heard the laughing and asked us if anything was funny. I just smiled and shoke my head." No Mr.Angelicous. Nothing is funny." I gave a quick and fake smile to him and turned back to my work giving Yuki and then Kia a glance trying not to laugh out loud.

The school day ended and Kia was comming over my house, but couldnt at the last moment. So, I started to walk home. On the way though, I saw Yuki walking in the same direction. I yelled for him and cought up with him just before he crossed the street. I guessed he didnt hear me. I taped his shoulder.....he didnt notice it. I grabed his hand as gentaly as I could. He spun around and glared with a look of hatered. I never thought that anger like that could come from one guy. I thoguht wrong. I fallowed him to his house and called out his name just before he went inside. He turned to see me just standing there. " What was your problem back there at the road crossing?" , I said. He blankly stared at me and just rushed into the house.
I stood there for a minute or two just looking at the door before I slowly walked away. I didnt think of it the rest of then night.

Saturday, the next morning I woke up rather early. I took a shower and got dressed like normal. I ate breakfast and headed out the door. I stopped dead in my tracks. It was Yuki, standing right outside my door. He surprised me so I gave out a loud yelp. He flinched and backed away. I regained my coolness and caught my breath. "Yuki,man. You scared the hell out of me. I didnt notice you there. Give me fair warning next time, could ya?" I could see he was shaken up by the way I reacted so I apoligized for yelling so loud and scaring him. After he calmed down I grabed his hand and headed for the bus stop. I didnt want to be late. Kia was haveing his band rehersules and wanted me to be there. Yuki would just have to tag along. He didnt seem to mind that at all. We were on the bus when Yuki spoke he first real word to me."...Sorry...",he said.
I looked at him and smiled. Its really all I could do at the time." Dont think about it. Im sure you didnt mean anything by it. Its not like your going to kill me, is it?",I said and continued looking out the bus window. I looked back at Yuki a few times. The first time he was blushing and the second time he was just relaxing.

The bus stoped at the street Kia lived on. So, I poked Yuki and motioned to him this was our stop. We got off the bus and walked down the street a little ways. Kia lived in a huge house. His family wanst like mine. Yuki looked at the house with amaizment to the large size. I laughed and hit the buzzer. He didnt even notice. An old man's voice came out from a small speaker asking, " Yes? How my I help you?" I replied with, " Hey Charlie, Its me. I brought a friend with me." The sound of a buzzer went off and the gate doors opened wide. We walked up to the house where the door was open and walked in. I took off my jacket and a maid came to put it away. Yuki didnt have one on. Charlie,the butler, greeted us and showed the way to Kia's studio. We tredged up a flight of stares then down two halls. The door was labled," Kia's, so stay the hell away!!". Kia has a thing about who touches his stuff. I turned to Yuki and said, " OK, Kia dosent like people at first so just stay close to me." He nodded and put his hands to his sides.

We walked into the room. That alone ways a very wrong thing. You wouls have never thought that Kia could get so mad. " You SOB!! I told you to be here on time! This is not your grandma's funeral here! This is our band practice!!!", he screamed at the top of his lugs at Envy for being late. Side note, now you know why I didnt want to be late. I walked over to the couch holding Yuki's hand so he wouldnt get cought in the cross fire of drumstick flying everywhere. We sat down quickly and quietly. Yuki sat next to me very tinced up. " Dude, just relax. He isnt going to kill anyone. Kia is a hot head. He gets mad and then he just gets over it.", I said to maybe help him take it easy. I wasnt sure it helped. He just sat there looking at Kia in fear. I took hole of his hand and he looked at me nervously. " Take it easy. Your among friends here, man.", I said again and smiled. That time it seemed to help alot.

Kia calmed down after a bit and then noticed us. " Hey you guys. How is it going? So this is our new friend, eh?", Kia said as he took Yuki's hands and drug him to the center of the room to take a good look at him. Yuki's eyes widend to a size never seen before. I didnt stop it. It was just the way Kia was. " Yeah, you really can fit in here, Yuki. ", Kia continued as he looked him over and smiled. I knew what that ment and stood up grabing Yuki's hand and said, " Kia, I dont think so. Yuki is mine." I dont know why I said it, but Kia let go of him saying," Oh, is that so? Are you and him together?" Giveing me a sly smurk. I held Yuki to me and blushed. I could tell Yuki was doing the same. I studered, " N-no, thats not what I mean, Kia." He looked at me as if he new something that I didnt. He usualy does. I looked at Yuki's face, It was a blood red blush. I asked him, " Are you alright, Yuki?" He looked up at me with tears in his eyes. I was somewhat shoked. I didnt know what to think or do. I just held him closer to me, looked at Kia and said, " I think we need to go. Yuki isnt feeling well." I took Yuki's hand and led him out the door leaveing Kia and the others just standing there. I grabed my jacket and we went out the door to the bus stop. I didnt know what to say. I just held Yuki's hand.
