Gift art for my grandfather for father's day. I was very, very rushed. Last week, my dad told me my grandfather asked what he should expect as gift art from me... And I'm always expected to shovel out art. Since my grandfather's a tiger in the Chinese zodiac, it's a common subject.
So here is a tiger and his cubs. I'm not looking for critique. The cubs took 20 seconds each, the stripes were half assed, and something about the face is totally throwing off the drawing. The only thing that matters is that he loved it. He was showing it to his friends at the table and telling them I drew it. :)
Anyway, this was started at 1:00am this morning, stopped at 1:20 so I could sleep. At 8:30am, I woke myself up and drew till 10:20am and we had to go, so I finished it as fast as I could. The top characters say "[paternal] grandfather: happy father's day". The bottom right hand corner is my name in both English and Chinese. The bottom left hand corner is today's date.
The scan is of fairly poor quality. I did a bit of crosshatching to indicate where the fur was orange, but it didn't show, and it's also shaded.
