Thestrals are love. Possibly one of my favorite creatures in the Harry Potter series besides Hippogriffs. Since OotP isn't close to being in theaters yet, so no one knows what the Thestrals are going to look like. [I'm almost 95% sure that Thestrals are going to be in the film. They play a kind of big role.] This is sort of what I imagine them to look like. J.K describes them as dragon-like creatures with a skeletal structure and large blank, glowing eyes. So I didn't really imagine them being like...half dead and looking all scruffy. Somehow I imagine them with scales [smooth scales, kinna like snakeskin], but also with fur...it's weird. And I haven't read the book in a while, so I don't remember specifically if Thestrals have hooves or not. I would think that they have hooves.
Anyway, it's just a Thestral staring at something while standing in a forest.

I love the mane and tail and the eye. Very nice work! This is quite close to what I thought thestrals looked like, too.
