Ah. I'm glad I finished this by the deadline. This is for Jieyi's 'Think of the Children' project. We're all making a card in the major/minor arcana of a tarot card deck.
I have the Seven of Swords meaning 'a failed plan' or something having the opposite result of what you were expecting.
Long story short(*has to go to class*) the significant other for the girl in the picure has went to war. As superstition states, if you hang a yellow ribbon on a tree and keep it safe, the person will come back safely.
The person never came back.
I had 5 or 6 different versions for this card, and really couldn't decide, mostly because alot of them really had no relevance to the divinitive meaning. I assumed this was the closest one to the actually meaning of it, and just worked on this one. Looking back at this list of artists working on this, I realized that I don't really deserved to be in the project. Go check out the other tarot cards done by many of the favorites in dA. They're all really beautiful so far.
I learned that I draw faster in school than at home. Hahaha;;;

She's lovely... And I really, really love how you drew your clouds with only two flat colors~
This piece has such a sad story to go with it, too. ;o;
