Maddy is made of win.
UPDATE: Okay, since everybody seems to wanna know, Maddy is a mage character in Evertropolis, and the place she got her training at teaches the ability to use an animal companion as a sort of summon-like technique by casting proper spells on it. Thoughts on the piece itself later.
UPDATE 2: FRONT PAGE, BABY!!

Okay, so, talk about the piece itself. I'm sure everybody wants to know about the background, so here we go. I used a Google Map as reference, and there are a few points through the blurring where you can see when I got lazy and didn't color over it. I used two Radial Blur effects (obviously) to finish it off.
As for the characters, I drew them out in pencil and scanned 'em in. Then I did solid black tracing with the brush tool and added color on a new layer. I used the Smudge tool to blend the colors together and a gradient or two. On the jeans, I also overlayed a layer with a fabric brush with lower opacity and a Linear Burn (I think it was Linear Burn, anyway). Afterwards, I Dodged the jeans to give them a more faded look on the front. Uhhh... Gradients and Smudging for Shooter the hamster's aura. Gradient and Pattern Overlay for the wand energy. Annnnd... I think that's it. Enjoy.

I really like it. Is different.
Hikara Productions Says:
Very interesting. I really like how you composed the background to indicate that the scene is active. Also, the fire looks incredibly realistic. But why are we putting hamsters on fire again?
Cukeman Says:
The perspective of the background makes me dizzy....x_X
