students missing a class
Nothing. When we realized youn weren't here,
We sat alphabetically, half asleep in our grid
Wishing away the time, gazing hopeleassly outside
Longer than life, the teacher droned on,
Tick, tock
Our unforgiving clock clicks past
Without a second thought
We longed for your presence,
We whispered and we prayed-
In English, our prayers were answered,
Your entrance was only "delayed".
Dead air, resurrected
chit-chatter buzzes about
Did I miss anything?
Probably not.
But we sure did.
