These have been a nice little simple excersise while trying to get sensation back into my severed finger. I'm learning how to work with the numbness now and I think this week I'll try some painting.

Interesting, I take it that this was India ink over a copper sheet? Very interesting! I imagine each photograph you took of it would make the light seem to have a different effect on him.
That would take a lot of patience under normal circumstances, but after having a finger reattached--I'm impressed! Hope your recovery is going as well as can be expected?
