Medium: wire, cardboard, hotglue
Dimensions: w-2ft, l-3ft, h-8inches

This was another piece done for my sculpture class. The assignment was to creat something out of cardboard.

When I think of cardboard, I automatically think of a box. We were supposed to create something unconventional with it, so I took the basic idea of a box and used it, but removed the function by making each box a cubed inch.

I had to cut each side of the box individually and glue them together, and I made roughly about 500 boxes. I originally wanted to make about a thousand and have the ear be about 3 x 4 feet in size... but it took too damn long to just make those 500 boxes.

It would take about three hours to cut 1000 squares (I used power, wood-working tools) and the boxes, I made them over a period of four days, and worked for about six hours gluing those damn things together. Sucked ;o And then it took another twelve hours to glue them altogether into the shape that they're in. It was definitely time consuming, but I got a 90 on it :)
