Right so uh.. I was originally going to enter the lyrics for this in a contest. But I wanted to send in the song with it, and I didn't want to end up exceeding five minutes just explaining what happens to this poor guy. So in the end I decided it was too disjointed to be an entry and figured it'll just be a gift to Sabin.
This song is about Sabin's character Ambrose Maurlias, and his and his lycanthropy. It prolly should have been sung by a boy... but I'm afraid I lack a male voice box, or the ability to imitate one, and having no males that can sing in tune on hand I figured I'd just sing it myself. Uh... To clarify things a little bit, the person singing is actually supposed to be Ambrose, (again ignore the fact that the one singing it is female.) and at some point toward the end he ends up transforming sorta... again.. very disjointed. I couldn't quite manage the effect I wanted in the end. XP
Lyrics:
You've gathered close
Now I must regale
Of his deepest regret
His most solemn secret.
If you'll come closer
Than I'll tell it all
How the name Maurlias
Became cursed
Unwitting Ambrose
Oh if only he'd known
The fate he would find
Cast upon shores unknown.
Ambrose dear friend
And fiendish lupine
A terror bestowed upon you
Take hold of yourself
Don't let it control you
Lest you find yourself
Unleashed.
Wait now don't leave
I've not finished my tale
You might think it absurd
Such nonsensical words.
I promise you
That for just a small fee
Ill reveal more than you've ever dreamed
Unwitting Ambrose
Oh, the power you hold
To capture the mind,
And imprison the soul.
Ambrose dear friend
And fiendish lupine
A beast runs in step with your heart.
Release the beast
And let it run free
And you'll find yourself
unleashed
Just one more hunt
Just one more howl
Monstrous moon
Release me now!
Ambrose, myself
A poor tortured soul
This pain sets my mind on fire.
Do run dear friends
This is no illusion
Yes I'm finally
I will find myself
I have found my self
Set free!

I like it. There are a few spots where it's kind of like *twitch* eh... *twitch twitch* but I mean, it's not worthy of bleeding for the ears or anything. All it all it's pretty good. Me gives you TWO thumbs up. And a pinkie. ^__^

Beautiful. I wish I could write song lyrics like that. Very nice. The mic messed it up at a few points though, but other than that, it's great!

I'm not really one for comments, but looking at the comments you got on this one, I think you deserve better. I really really like this, your voice holds a sense of mystery and intrigue that made me want to listen to the entire thing, and once more. Your sense of lyrical poetry is beautiful and the way you sing it seems to bring out every tone and power...I long to sing this myself, if I knew the words and tune a little better. It's a great song, you should be proud of yourself for creating such a complex and wondrous thing with your talent.
