Noemie was tired, more tired than usually. He had not fallen asleep over his desk before, today had been the first time. He couldn't really find a reason why he was so tired, maybe it was the lack of interesting stories lately... Of cause there were the never-ending attacks of D.E.%u2019s all over UK, but everybody wrote about that now. Noemie wanted something special. And as he lay bended over his desk and used his hat as a pillow, he wanted to be someplace other, somewhere where things where happening right now. He sighed and fell asleep.
It was a loud crack that woke him up. First he has thought that it had been a part of his wonderful dream, but as he slowly got more to himself, he realised that he wasn't alone in the room anymore..

Mitani grinned as she saw Noemie lying and sleeping on his desk. As long as she had known him, she had never imagined that Noemie, the hard working newsie, would get tired while working.
"Been sleeping good, Bird-lover??"

"Oh shit!!", Noemie reached out to the wand-holder where he knew he had placed his wand when he had earlier today entered his office, but it wasn't there anymore..
"You...%u201D he said, his voice somewhere in between nervous and angry.

"Yes me...%u201D she answered and giggled, "Looking for this, Noe~". She held his wand in her hand and waved it around...

He hated her, he really really hated her, but since he didn't have his wand, he had to figure out what else to do...
"You know, someone will soon notice that you have entered this building, and then you're really in trouble!!"

"Oh. So somebody will notice me, right... Who'll notice me, little Noe, you're the only one left in this building, everybody else has left for the night!!%u201D she laughed and pointed a finger at the big clock up over his door. It was about 3am...

Noemie had to take some deep breaths to keep calm, not only did she dare to enter his office; she had also taken his wand and called him small.
He didn't really mind when others called him small, but not this f*cking woman. She deserved to be thrown into Azkaban and never come out again, or better, be given a kiss from a dementor.

"What's up little Noe~, cat's got your tongue??%u201D Mitani teased while walking past him, keeping him pinned to his chair with her wand..
"You know... I don't like you and I know you don't like me either...%u201D

"Exactly... And let us keep it that way!%u201D Noemie spat out, looking furious..

"Yeah... Let us keep it like that...%u201D Mitani repeated, gazing out the window and sighing loudly.. She turned around, looking at Noemie and after a while she started talking again.
"You know... I have been thinking...%u201D

"Woah, is she actually canable of such a thing?" Noemie said in a whisper..

"...Ill pretend that I didn't hear that, Bird-Boy...%u201D she said before she continued, "I know how fond you and Alex are of each other. But..."

"But what??...%u201D Noemie had gone straight from being angry to now being concerned about his friend Alex.. "There hasn't happened something to him, has there?"

"Oh... Get a grip boy... Nothing happened to him... I wouldn't bother to come here then, would I??"

"Hmmm... I guess not...", Noemie was relieved to hear that Alex was all right, but if nothing had happened to Alex, why had Mitani then come here for..?

Mitani rolled her eyes; she nearly felt that this was a waste of time... "Okay... from the begining again... I know how much you and Alex have meant for each other from day one you two guys meet in school... And since I know you have been seeing each other again since he returned here to London, I can't keep it a secret that he seems quite depressed lately...%u201D

"That's no wonder if he has to live with you..."

"Ha... Ha... Ha....%u201D Mitani said and leaned her back against the window.. "You are quite the comedian, right Noemie? I suppose that the only thing you write for your damn letter, right? Only lousy one-liners!!"

"Calm down, old Woman... you wanted to tell me more about Alex, right??", he said, knowing exsactly how much the 'old woman' would make Mitani angry..

"Oh man... I should so kill you, you godd*mned midget!!%u201D Mitani said while biting her lower lip to keep herself from hitting Noemie..

"Ha! Just kill me... I know how much you'll be in trouble at home then... Alex would not like the idea of his 'old woman' killing his best friend now, would he??"

"Gah! He would never need to know that it was me... Hehehe....%u201D Mitani said and laughed maniacly...
"And if I would kill you, I would never have to hear more about how Alex liked you in bed!! Gah...%u201D

"Hey!! That's personal stuff!!%u201D Noemie shouted out kind of embarrassed..

"Gah... Sometimes I hate Alex for having a heart that is big enough for two...%u201D she was even angrier now... But after a while, when she had calmed down and Noemie wasn't quite as red as to begin with, she continued...
"What I wanted to say was that I%u2019m considering giving you some info about where our house is located...%u201D

"What the heck... Why of all gods would you do such a thing??" Noemie was kind of shocked, he couldn't figure out why Mitani, of all persons, would give out such important information...

"It's... it is because...%u201D for a first time she allowed herself to be kinda open infront of Noemie... "It's because Alex concerns me...%u201D
A tear rolled down her cheek...

It was the first time Noemie saw Mitani like this... He nearly started to feel sympathy for her... He had never imagined that she could actually feel something like concern for another person... Noemie didn't really know what to say, but he knew that he somehow had to not let Mitani down, even though he hated her... Behind her hard words and fiery temperament, she was still just a woman, Noemie thought to himself... and I can't let a woman down...
"Okay... um, Mitani... just tell me how I can help you...%u201D

Mitani suddenly felt that a big burden had been lifted off her shoulders and she couldn't keep her tears back.. "Oh, I got something in my eyes...%u201D she said and desperately tried to hide her tear from Noemie, who only smiled her and laughed...
"What the heck are you laughing at, moron?%u201D she said but her words weren't hard anymore...
She collected herself and tried to explain what she wanted to say from the beginning...
"I... I would like to give you... The location of our house... so that, you might come, not because I want you to", she quickly said "But because I know Alex would be glad if you did... And he wouldn't feel bad about him having to visit you secretly anymore..."

"But why don't you just let him visit me??%u201D Noemie said and handed her a napkin to take away her tears..

"Are you crazy...? I would look like a real softie to him then....%u201D Mitani said and suddenly realising how much of a softie she looked to one of her enemies now... She took the napkin and blew her nose...

"Hahahaha!! Do you not think he'll figure it out that I got the location from you??", Noemie laughed warmly, already looking forward for seeing Alex again and forgetting all about Mitani actually being a DE..

"Hmm... Oh god... just say something like... I don%u2019t know... You came by an accident. Or something... what do I know...%u201D Mitani knew that it would be clear to Alex, but it was better to get Noemie to come to their house than for Alex to be wandering around town and maybe be discovered...
"Here you have a map...%u201D Mitani said and handed Noemie an old leather map of the forbidden forest... "Be sure that nobody but you sees it... right?"

"Got it!%u201D Noemie replied and rolled out the old map.. He was surprised to find out that their house was less than 10 km from Hogwarts...
"Whoa, isn't that a kind of... um... dangerous place to have a home... you know, with the centaurs and the school so close by??"

"I guess it would be, if not Alex controlled so many spiders... Kind of useful if you want to keep people and magical animals away...%u201D Mitani say and suddenly realised how casually she was talking to Noemie.. Oh man, she had really turned into a softie now...
"Ill go now that you have the map...%u201D she said coldly and with a crack she disappeared again...

"Useful, useful...%u201D Noemie said to himself, now that he has alone in his office again... Suddenly the room seemed dry and colourless again, some excitement from time to time was the spice of life, certainly... And he thought he understood better now why Alex liked Mitani...

Once again I get it confirmed, every woman has a heart... Even one of the few I thought didn't have one...; he thought to himself before he turned out the light in the office, took his hat on and headed home to sleep the night that remained...
