round and round
i've been waiting
for you.
riding on this macabric horse
knowing the ups and downs of life.
i've seen many things,
passing them by
time after time,
forever turning round and round
on this carousel.
everytime i look at it
i catch a gleam in the steed's eye.
it knows my troubles
and wants to make them
worse.
i wish the music would stop
so i can get off this
merry-go-round,
i know in reality
it's contradicting itself.
i spot you
on the opposite side of the gate
and reach out for you.
you're out of arms reach..
the ride is over
but i'm still sorting through my troubles.
this time...
i'm not the one
behind the reigns.

Nemo Outis Says:
The haphazardness of the poems structre is, in a baroque way, brilliant!
