Not too sure bout the design. IT seems a bit off to me, but I'll let you guys decide, I'd really like to know what you peeps think. The Lance is the first of a number of units in what I call the EternalUnit concept.

Essentially, the EU project was began to develope and produce a number of warmachines that were to last centeries in the defense of humanity. Built with nanomachines, the armor, systems, and weaponry were the best humanity had at the time, with each unit being practicaly indestrucable when faced by any lesser machines. What made the whole system surprising was the command and control system for each unit. Originally each machine was to be controlled by an AI, but unable to produce one that that could meet the required specifications, another idea was accepted. The brain and major nerveous components of select, and recently deceased or dying, humans were preserved and rigged to the units, essentaily giving them new bodies and making them immortal. As the program progressed a majority of the units/people turned against humanity, declaring themselves gods and waging war. For close to a centery the war raged between the creations and humanity. In the end only by reactivating loyal Units/People was humanity able to defeat the EU revolt. While greatful to the loyalist units, many people still feared future rebellion, and loyal units were asked to go into hibernation. And there they wait, until such a time as they are needed again.

This unit, the Mobile Cannon Lance, is centered around an anti-matter cannon, able to deliver many megatons of firepower to any target in sight range. While not heavily armored, it is protected by a number of point defense plasma emiters, able to intercept a wide range of munitions and warheads. The major strength of the MCL is its high mobility.
