Speak
I won't be shut down
and I won't be shut up.
If that's where your intentions lie
you're shit out of luck.
You can stitch my mouth closed
but I'll talk on and on.
Ranting about my views on the world,
not falling for anyone's con.
Even though I am so young
I have a mind of my own.
All my words are spoken clearly
and carved neatly into stone.
There's poison in the water
the air reeks of blood.
Corpses lying everywhere
in the middle is where I stood.
All my mirrors will be covered
with black curtains and tin foil.
Every scrap of money will be burned
so no more minds can spoil.
I'm in a tizzy and the shakes set in
every house will swim with gore.
Breaking through the silence and speaking my mind
I'M NOT AFRAID ANYMORE!
I'm tired of being angry.
And I'm tired of being meek.
So I'm going to open my mouth wide...
and I'm going to speak.

ARGH.

"I'm in a tizzy and the shakes set in

Breaking through the silence and speaking my mind
I'M NOT AFRAID ANYMORE!"
That stanza is fucking amazing!
The last stanza also ties it all together very nicely.
I love how permenant and hard-hitting your poems are. I admire your work.

Two frontpages in one day? Damn.
Damn.
I'm jealous now.
BETTER WRITE A POEM ON ENVY.
Yeah, sorry, I get jealous easily. Nice poetry, though.
