Carden - Black Feather

This is Carden. he was made with super sculpey clay over a wire and tinfoil armature. This sculpture was given a unique glass eye that is two-toned with yellow and orange and looks especially bold due to the contrast in color of its dark feathers (at least I think so!)

The gryphon stands on a simple base. Small grass and rock details have been paintied on.

This piece was painted in acrylic paints and finished with a protective Matte coating to protect the paint. Areas such as the beak, eye area and various small accents were coated with a glaze to add shine.
