In my last watercolor class, the teacher gave us an in-class assignment. She gave us each a piece of 300-lb paper and told us to do a beach scene. It had to incorporate the following elements: rocks, sand, grass, trees, a lighthouse, a lightkeeper's cottage, and a stormy sky. Usually, I let myself get really bogged down in details and plan things out too much, but this time I just started painting and did it really loose. Took about an hour. It was really fun. It's definitely not perfect, but I like it. :)
