Nameless Love Story - Part One

The morning sun shone through the inch-wide gap of cloth that was the curtains, a single ray of brightness crawling across the room and up along the bed, across the sheets and to her pale, violet features. Striking her in the eyes intrusively, she furrowed her brows, nose twitching, and rolled unto her side, trying to avoid the inevitable awakening that had already been initiated by the damnable ball of light. Groaning lazilly, she gripped the soft, feathered pillow which rested beneath her head, and switched places with it in a desperate attempt to prolong her slumber.

Her senses, however, would have nothing to do with it, as her nose twitched again; for other reasons this time. A scent was reaching her nostrils from outside the slumbersome hiding place in which she lay beneath, tempting her with the delicate image of a warm, morning meal. Her stomach grumbled, causing her to curl up into a fetal position and let off a slight whine or irritance, both with herself and the scent for daring to rouse her further.

It wasn't as if she needed to eat, after all, but over the last few months, she had grown accustom to a homecooked meal. 'It's all his fault,' she mentally cursed, despite the slight grin of mischief forming along her sleep-deprived, pouting lips. The last few months, after all, had been almost heavenly.. ever since he'd returned, there had been a breakfast ready every day, followed by a day of simply enjoying each other's company, followed by the nightly exertions that made it seem like a never-ending honeymoon.

Finally roused in entirety, she kicked the thin sheets off her and sat up; her pillow precariously balancing upon her head - kept propt by her slender, fur-covered ears. She stretched out, allowing her nude, lithe form to adjust to the awakening as her firm chest heaved into a lazy yawn. Her tail flicked once, twice, and then a last time, before it too had worked out the tired stiffness and regained its full momentum of sway.

Not bothering with clothes within the comfort of her own home - not that she enjoyed wearing them anyway - she slipped out of bed, and began making her way down the simple, brief hallway that lead into the small kitchen, and the source of the scent of a promising breakfast. The sight that greeted her, though, was nothing short of promising either, as her pinkly irises fixed on the muscular legs standing before the stove. Eyes tracing up along the muscled appendages and to the firmly shaped hind-cheeks that she remembered teasingly pinching only the night before - the thought alone bringing back her mischievous grin at full strength.

Pulling her view from the treat, her eyes continued to trace upwards, to the equally firm and muscular back, which inevitably lead outwardly to the muscle-toned arms, dutifully at work over the cooking feast that so tickled her nose. Despite almost all of the region she had just 'charted' being adorned with a variation of scars and cuts, it did little to ease the tingle that went down her spine and to her tail; bringing on a slow, playful sway as she momentarily resisted her playfulness.

Unable to resist the urge, however, she bit her lower lip in further mischief and slowly made her way up behind the dutiful 'cook', hand reaching forth to his hinds as she caught some of his firm skin between her fingers, pinching sharply. The result was predictable, but nevertheless amusing, as he jumped with a slight *ahemn* and turned with a crimson-eyed gaze to her.

"Frisky so soon in the morning?" he jibed, hands still at work despite his attention being brought elsewhere. "I'm surprised you have so much energy left."
"It's because of all the food you keep making," she matter-of-factly retorted, her grin never dying, "If you spend much more time cooking, I'll have to buy you an apron."
"Make it pink then," he chortled, a lock of his ebon-blue hair falling over his face somewhat, warranting a casual blowing aside before he continued, "And lacy."
"Ass," she mused before pinching him again and making her way to the kitchen table for a sit down.

"My, are we at the point where we need to state the things we're grabbing, love?" came the chuckling retort, as her elven lover turned about, carrying a pair of plates adorning what could only be described as 'delicious and juicy'. She smiled genuinely.. he truly knew his way around the kitchen, at least.

As they ate their breakfast, she couldn't help glancing over to him, happilly wolfing down his meal.. she'd been lucky to come across someone like him, who went out of his way to cook a meal every morning - even though he knew himself that he didn't need to. Sighing contently, it almost seemed unimaginable that he'd been gone for so long only months before.

"I was thinking..." he said suddenly, bringing her attention, as he set his knife and fork down, smiling wide at her. "..maybe we could go shopping later, and then head down by the lake?"

"I'd.. I'd love to."

"Hehn, what're ye getting all shy an' blushy about?"

"Oh, nothing.."

Cause I can. Decided to split it into two halve, cause I'm cool like that. (read: I'm lazy, and work better by rationing ).

All characters are (C) Their respective owners

Note: Ignore the name of it. I'd rather focus on the actual piece than waste time thinking up a good title. =D
