Tome of Lost, Pages 648-649 :: The Royal-Eyed Dreamer
Out of all the hellish, magical spawn to walk the path of power, there are very few who are of the Eliêna race. So few, in fact, that their number is to be counted off a single hand. However.. the few of this relatively unsuperior race that do manage to find their way into the realm of power which warrants their mention in the great books of ages, do so with startling repute - be it of foul or less-than-foul action.
The Cthuvian dreamling that stands above all others in his pitiful race goes under many titles, all of which are earned by his actions, appearances and mannerisms; Athun Del'Terralventhe is one of the most peculiar, and most bewildering creature to ever walk the path of the Lost (at least, for a creature that was not born of confusion). The Royal-Eyed Dreamer (a name which finds its origins from the colour of his eyes; golden eyes are said to be the eyes of royalty and kings), as he is called by some, entered the historical Tome of Lost upon his first achievement as a being of lesser power.
In the feeble land of Khea'morra, the Eliêna creature succeeded in slaying his own race's ancestral mother, the Cthuvian deity Miêles, in direct, unhindered combat. Although the slaying of a god is, by all accounts, a simple task for any person scribed within the Tome, it should be noted that Del'Terralventhe's achievement comes from his performing the deed without the aid of armor, shields, nor comrades. Bearing a weapon specifically forged for the purpose of slaying the Cthuvian goddess, and an amulet which hindered his detection by greater beings, his first title of 'Breaker of Chains' was earned when he supposedly freed the land of the mental enslavement of Miêles (it should, however, be noted that this act did nothing to raise the opinion of elves within the land, as even after Miêles' demise, elves were persecuted and murdered for countless decades after).
Seemingly content with his actions, the Eliêna vanished into a life of regular adventuring for a few years, during which he impregnated his then companion and lover, whom sequentially left without notifying him of her being with child. Athun is rumored to have foreseen her departure, and left his godslaying blade in her possession as she left, but some also claim that she had stolen it. Neither have been perfectly confirmed, as the amulet worn by the Eliêna makes scrying his actions, motives and the likes difficult.
A few years later, it would occur that a rival deity of Miêles would take up her portfolios, and begin a new reign of power, similar to the Cthuvian's. Once more, however, a deity fell to Del'Terralventhe - who did not even require a godslaying weapon for the feat, and instead developed a method of stripping gods of their divinity. This new ability marked the beginning of Athun's infamy as 'Godslayer Del'Terralventhe', along with the beginnings of a bounty placed on his head by religious societies fearing his power.
As is with all men and women who walk the path of power, Athun Del'Terralventhe grew in might to the point that his existance in his homeworld would have a negative effect on his balance, thus warranting his entry into the Realm of the Lost. His timing for such is deemed as either incredible luck, or infallible misfortune. Others name it as a natural gift for landing oneself into power. Whatever the case and cause, Del'Terralventhe managed to land himself in the Lost upon the 'Day of Unbinding', the Realm-renowned date upon which the gateways into the Outer Lost are opened, allowing inhabitants of either side to traverse between. Thus it was that the Eliêna made his way into the Outer Lost.
His actions within this realm are even more unclear than his actions outside of it, as the nature of the Outer Realm of Lost is too extensive and powerful to be accurately detailed. What is known, however, is that Koharlaxus 'Ithnox, the Twins God-Kings of the Thirteen-Hundredth State, met their end at Del'Terralventhe's blade, an act that not only made Athun an enemy of the Thirteen-Hundredth State, but also its neighbouring regions. As well as this, his bounty rose to a new level, marking him as a bearer of one of the highest bounties within the Outer Realm of Lost.
As one might expect, this triggered a change in pace for the godslayer of four (although some would like to claim it is only three, due to the fact that the Twin Kings acted as a unified deity), as by now every single bounty hunter in Outer Lost sought his head. At this point in time, all that is known is that for a period of over 100 years, Athun Del'Terralventhe vanished into hiding. During this period, it is claimed that Athun had another child, and left his only other weapon in her possession.
Very recently, though, Athun has resurfaced with the slaying of the God-King Asheroxth of the Eighty-Third State, a feat raising his bounty to the current state of 10,000,000 black diamonds, an all-time record for a Godslayer of any kind, and granting Athun the rank of Enemy of the States.
His current whereabouts are unknown.
