Well since I have this done i might as well submit this.
I cant believe I actually finally finished a CG its been a long while since i finished one, anyway this is Yuna Miyama from Maburaho. The shading was the hard part to do seeing how im having the light coming down from below so i spent alot of time thinking about where to put the shading and lighting detail. I decided to do the eyes in a different style rather than the style they did it in the anime series as for the color after I finished it I duplicated the flattened image of Yuna put a Gaussian blur on the duplicate image and set the duplicated image to a 50% Overlay Blend for a much stronger emphasis on the color.
As for the title i used the offical Logo so i scanned the title logo from one of my DVD covers and did a bit of color retouching and vectorizing and i used a duplicated overlay blend on that as well too.
the array itself was very fun to work on I wanted light rays to shoot up from the array so what i did was take some of my traced paths from another file and dragged and dropped it onto the character image. and changed the paths into selections and did a fill selection option. then i used a motion blur filter and set it to 90 degress I cant remember the actual pixel strength though then i set the rays to a linear dodge I also added some sparkles with the star brush and did an outer glow layer effect
with linear dodge. I also added some feathers too seeing how in the opening sequence when Kazuki runs away from Yuna she magically sprouts angel wings and starts chasing down Kazuki.
In all dont know how long this image took me, cause i had other obligations like work or school.
Overall the maximum amount of layers i had on this image at one time was 52 layers.
Well i gotta close this description I still have many deviations which to comment on but at least its nowhere near the number I had about a week ago.
