This baby took 9 hours to build. I originally thought this sucker would take far less time but I discovered that it had a forward landing gear, meaning it needed weight in the nose to make sure it sits right. Sounds easy? Nope! The space alloted for the weight is very small, and it needed 7 grams of weight to make sure its stable. Since I have no concept of Grams in relation to weight, I just had to muddle though it, cutting up some welding rods in my dad's garage. I did so multiple times because I kept comming up with the wrong size. It was fun again because the landing gear was very fragile and forced me to let it sit for some time after gluing it in, less I wanna see it break. Then the fun part, PAINING on Red Stars because I don't use decals. It took a good deal of effort, but it was done. (note, there should be two more stars on the bottom but I said to hell with it )

All in all, the model came out very well, the stars was done nicely for being a handpaint job. Despite its the same color sceme as my P-47, the red highlights really brought flare to it and I'm pleased it came out so well. The biggest drawback was that I lost the bomb rack so its missing its bomb under the cockpit. But the most interesting part about this fighter is that the door is open! You can actually see clearly into the cockpit which is nice. Nice to have something different with each model.
