I don't really fancy yuri myself... I prefer shoujo-ai like Utena. Really... Yuri is made for males and the hard core porn of it doesn't interest me much. While Shoujo-ai is just bloody fluffy and yay ^^ More like this series I hope you know the difference between Yuri and shouja-ai very well
Now for yaoi... that's a whole different story

Sadly it's true you DO see alot more yaoi/shounin-ai than yuri/shoujo-ai. Though not ALL guys read just yuri and not ALL girls read yaoi.I think that's an overgeneralized statement.Hmm...But I do think that yuri needs to come up.I don't like the hardcore stuff but softcore yuri/yaoi is good by me...Though I'll admit I like yaoi more.
