In Firefly Pond

A cub plays innocently by a pond. He walks under the soft glow of the many bright fireflys in the late evening light. He waits unknowingly for his mother. He dosn't realize she will never return. In the early afternoon she left to go hunt to feed her young cub, not realizeing that she was also a target. A target of poachers who will sell her body parts to be used in the making of tradional chinese medicines. Medicine that isn't even scientificly proven to cure any sickness. Now this child of the wild is left to an uncertain future, lost and all alone. Why do we let this happen?

That is my only question. If anyone knows me at all, they know that I never cuss. I never say any offensive words, but there is one this that will get me to say every bad word ever thought up. And that thing is what people do to animals. It's just wrong...
