Finally finished this piece of crud X_x Took forever and a half...... Not really much to say about it besides the fact that I am VERY proud of how this turned out. 19" x 24" on bristol, incase you're wondering. :3
You should be proud of this, it's a beautiful piece. The colours, though being at the darker end of the spectrum, are very striking, especially when teamed with the brightness of the stars and her little halo (the halo is very cute btw). I love the folds of the clothing and the way they've been shaded. My only problem here is with the position of the character's feet. The bottom one I'm happy with, it fits her position perfectly, it's the slight appearance of the top one. I can make out that her back leg isbent, but i don't think we need to see that back foot. It makes her postion look slightly unnatural. Other than that, I like her pose. It's exceptionally original.
The large thick border complements the entire picture and the touches at the corners look good. I like the way the stars and the feathers seem to have a dark glow, it suggests the feeling of night without you having to colour the entire picture.
Last but not least the wings. The colour is perfect and their positioning, though not entirely comfortable looking, is nice. They almost form a secondary halo.
