Chapter 1:
The beginning

%u201CNow then young ones, I shall tell you a story%u201D an old man had spoken of great legends but this was his greatest. But this was no ordinary legend, it was the truth. In the beginning when all seemed well, a child had spotted a Wanderer wearing a tattered cloak with the hood up, using a rusty old sword as a walking stick. The Wanderer%u2019s face was in the shadows of the hood but all the child could see were the eyes shining brightly like flames, the child was frightened.
As the Wanderer drew closer to the little village the child ran stumbling home to its mother across the stony path between the fields, the dappled sunlight through the oak trees casting serenity onto the scene where the child ran, when he had finally arrived in the village, his mother was shouting %u201Csupper%u201D. He flung the door open ran up to her and clung to her leg, trembling with fear, his mother then looked down at him %u201Cwhat%u2019s the matter%u201D the mother asked the child so he replied sobbing %u201Cmum, I saw a stranger w-w-walking down the path following me, with his cloak hood up and his eyes were glowing and he scared me!%u201D the mother crouched down but did not notice the Wanderer nearing the gate while she was whispering words of comfort to the child. She then picked him up and hugged him reassuringly; the Wanderer was at the gates.
The gatekeepers had made an error, the last one they will ever make as they let the Wanderer through the gates; they escorted him to the village chief for a greeting. %u201CWelcome to our village please have a seat and state your business%u201D the chief said, but the Wanderer didn%u2019t reply, %u201CState your business!%u201D the chief repeated but still no answer from the wanderer. %u201COI ANSWER WHEN IM SPEAKING TO YOU,%u201D no answer still %u201Cguards throw him in the prison cell%u201D.
This made the Wanderer angry, so, he picked up his sword and walked off not wanting a fight, but a couple of young warriors and the guards were in his way. It was at that moment the child saw the true evil shining through because the wanderer just sliced the guards up with ease, threw one warrior into a wall breaking all of his ribs, deflected the rouges arrows and slung them back at her, and the last one got decapitated. The gatekeepers ran off but were devoured by some otherworldly denizens.
Some thing weird was happening. The wanderer shot a bolt of lightning at the village graveyard causing hordes of zombies to erupt from underneath the ground and shot another into the forest where an army of disfigured demons and undead creatures had arisen from but he then saw the mother and her child running out of the village. As the mother was running, she started to slow down %u201CI%u2019m sorry son but you%u2019ll have to go one without me%u201D the mother cried %u201Cbut you have to keep running, you%u2019re the only family I have left%u201D the child stopped and looked back at her mother, who had a big cut in the side of her body %u201Crun, son, run,%u2026..%u201D %u201CMum, mum, MUM!%u201D. He ran but the wanderer was already in front of him, the Wanderer brought his blade down but the child had moved quickly and caught him from behind bringing a knife out and stabbing the wanderer in the back of the leg. The child barely got away with his life. He came across another village, which was protected by five guardians, each with its own unique elemental power and weapon. The five elements were water, fire, earth, wind and energy, The fire guardian had spotted the child %u201Cwhat%u2019s the matter with you little one, you look like you%u2019ve come from another village%u201D the fire guardian said but the poor child just cried and said %u201CI am from another village it was%u2026it was destroyed by a dark Wanderer and some demons%u201D %u201Cthis wanderer, was it following you?%u201D the guardian asked, the child just nodded %u201Cwhat is your name little one%u201D %u201Cmy name is%u2026..Zeros%u201D %u201Cwell then Zeros come with me to see the chieftain of this village%u201D so Zeros%u2019 adventure begins.
