C'est Rien, Mon Ami

Don't you just love those days when you sit down and just all of the sudden something just APPEARS out of nowhere on the paper (or digital canvas in this case) you have out in front of you? Oh man, I know I do. This was definitely one of those cases...

The name of the character: Jest. Where does he belong among my zany crew of randomly made up then cherished characters?: Nowhere as of yet. I'll be damned if I don't place him somewhere though!

You see, I have tons and tons of character concepts I come up with every day (I think I'm at about 2 binders full now). Some I absolutely love, some I don't, all of which I enjoy fleshing out and making them 'alive'. Almost all of them are made with a purpose, made with some plot they have to follow in a story I have already made then given more backround to be more expandable/usable for more then just that story.

Jest on the other hand is completely different. He's one of those characters that had no purpose. He just appeared for the soul reason of RAWKING OUT LOUD. I have no room for him anywhere as of yet, but as time goes by I believe I can find something to do with him. For now he just goes in the ever growing folder of character concepts I have. I'm sure we'll be seeing more of him very soon though, so no worries.

PS- 'C'est rien, mon ami' translates to 'It's nothing, my friend'.
