Oracular Frog

This is a character in a sci-fi/fantasy story-world setting I've been creating, "The Heart of Riloth." This character has no name among others, only a title, and her title is oracle of the frogs.

The frogs are a strange people, with no visible humanlike traits aside from speech, and minds so remotely unlike any human or earthly frog that everyone has difficulty relating to them. Most people do not know the full story about the frogs, and so assume them to be merely stupid or retarded, "only good for working in factories and sticking to things." Usually they function like automatons, only barely taking note of their surroundings or what they're doing, as if their minds were completely preoccupied with something important and far away. Occasionally, all the frogs in the world of Riloth, no matter where they are, will speak in unison in an irregular chorus, slowly repeating a single word over and over.

The oracles, however, are able to live in both worlds, interacting with people around them as well as the mysteries of the frogs. There is only one oracle per generation; when one dies, the next is immediately born. The oracle knows the truth behind the flower-shaped eyes of all the frogs, and it is not something that anyone with a less simple and innocent mind than a frog's can truly comprehend. But recent changes in Riloth have made it so exposing the many secrets of her people will be necessary for the survival of all, and that is exactly what "The Heart of Riloth" story reveals.
