drew 11 images during a slow hour at work, then got back to my dorm and animated it in GIMP. repeated some pictures to get a total of 21 frames.
it's pretty flawed. i can't figure out where those black bars on the side came from, and the lines jump around a lot. oh well. this was my first-ever made-from-scratch animation. ^__^

yes it is pretty jumpy, but from the sounds of it you didn't have the proper equipment to do what you were doing at the time. it isn't too bad, if you ever do this test again i'd suggest a more interesting angle. the profile view really flattens things out.
