The Effects of Tightlacing on the Body Nude

A series of nude sketches of Victoria, illustrating the effects of tightlacing corsetry on the nude female form. Rated for realistic nudity. There are also some notes--I've been told that my handwriting is clear so I didn't type them.

Having studied corsetry rather extensively from a mostly historical perspective, I decided to incorperate tightlacing into my Corpse Bride fic as it was obvious to me that Victoria was a victim of forced tightlacing ("Lace those corsets properly; I can hear you speak without gasping!"). I wanted to illustrate what poor Victoria would really look like under the corset.

As an ending note, I would like to point out that the reason corsets got SUCH a bad reputation was because of the practise of tightlacing--this was not as common a practise as everyone thinks, and corsets are very comfortable when they fit properly. Think of it like this: Tightlacing was buying corsets that were far too small, and lacing them as though you were the proper size for the garment. A tightlacer also started VERY early in her life (six or seven).
