The Scanner Did No Justice
Story Behind the Art...
I have always loved large heads of any sort of creature raising from a funnel of clouds with moonlight beams pouring in. So, I did this. I am very shy about posting this piece, because the character shown isn't a character to be freely drawn without thought. I know I sound odd saying that, but it's true. The character holds secrets and meanings that won't be opened to any type of public.
As For the Art Itself...
I started this on Christmas Eve of 2005 when I couldn't go to sleep - you know how it is on Christmas Eve all that excitement and anticipation. I finished it on Friday the 13th, January. The scanner killed 60% of the detail, and for some reason the scanner hates every moon I draw. The clouds were generaly easy, but they took forever. I had to do the night sky three times before I was satisfied. My father says that he can see a man and a dog in the clouds. I couldn't see them - maybe you can. I know about his ears - I meant them to be that large and long.
