Description

Among the wee folk community, Dwarf Rabbit Gremlins rarely evoke fond memories in the minds of those who have had dealings with them. Petty criminal acts such as super-gluing coins to crowded sidewalks, souping up cars that are better off as scrap metal, and occasional indecent exposure (did you notice that none of these gremlins are wearing pants?), have resulted in many being arrested and gaoled over the years. Of course, being so small, escape from prison is easy for the gremlins and is usually made within minutes, the sewer pipe being the preferred route. Less adventurous gremlins opt for slipping between the bars and strolling a merry gauntlet of armed guards and saliva-fanged dogs.
The authorities are reluctant about labeling escaped Dwarf Rabbit Gremlins as "at large" for fear of causing confusion in the populace.

Acrylic on illustration board, 25 x 40 cm.

This car was a few streets down from where I live, and it looked so interesting I immediately wanted to paint it. I've done too few mechanical things, so this was a nice change from the natural/ landscape backgrounds that usually accompany my stuff. If you are able to identify the make of this car, you have too much time on your hands. According to the owner, it was going to be repaired, though it disappeared from his house a few days after the photos were taken. Lucky me! I almost missed out on painting it.

****** As a side note, I'd like to apologise to those who've given me watches/ favs and not received a comment in your gallery to thank you. I normally try to thank everyone, but at the moment it takes my computer over 5 minutes just to open a single SA page, so it's just not practical. I'm sorry. ******

I have to say you did an excellent job with the car. Did you work off a photo? Because there's so much detail. I personally like the cobwebs. ;D

The gremlins are adorable. The one of the left with his mouth open especially. I love the little backstories you do. They add so much to the characters.

the moss and cobwebs are a wonderful touch. and you seriously design the coolest critters EVAR. I love the one on the tire, he really looks like he's balancing his weight.
