The me in the mirror knows what to say
When you yell and scream and treat me that way
But I don't
The me in the mirror can stand up for herself
She can take her fear and hides it on a shelf
But I can't
The me in the mirror can be the light of you life
She's as keen and as sharp as the edge of the knife
But I'm not
The me in the mirror will comfort you
Whenever you are feeling blue

The me in the mirror is as perfect as can be
All she ever does is try to please
But I don't
The me in the mirror looks just like me
And everyday I strive to achieve
To become the me in the mirror that I know I can be
