Old pic from 2003 that I recently edited. Looks better now that I actually have some Photoshop and Open Canvas skills. Am really pleased with the result.

An illusion is a wordless lie
To cover up what secrets hide.
A black façade of treachery
That gives hope to things which cannot be.

I lived my life between the years
Past love and joy and pain and tears
Time is all and all is spent;
I can't remember where it went.

This wasn't how it should have been
But things are never what they seem.
And now the truth unveils to me:
I've loved no more than a memory.

All along, this pleasant thought
Has saved my life and grasped my heart
And breathed my spirit full of faith;
And now my love is but a wraith.

Once I thought I'd mastered time;
That I controlled its flow, its rhyme.
But then the truth came to my heart:
I'd never had it from the start.

Link and Sheik. Sheik, not Zelda. Shameless yaoi fanservice, I'll admit, but the smutlings love it.
