Breaking the branches

Breaking the branches

When you fall you just break
The world is down, dark, cold
Trying to find the top
Music notes floating, gone
The joy breaks with a pop

When you fall you just break
The pieces left to sink
No bottom to fall to
Maybe I can find it
A light long overdue

When you fall you just break
Nobody will be there
Nobody will know how
You suddenly weren't whole
Birth of lies, disavow

When you fall you just break
You're angry and hurt
Close your bright eyes and wish
That the pain dissipates
You're life a shattered dish

When you fall you just break
You feel and break yourself
Your dreams will crumble, die
I know all the damage
That loving can supply

I just felt so much all at once so I chose to look up a type of poetry and just write. Just let it flow. I had so many emotions, about my family about boys about school, friends, books, ideals. Everything!! Music running through my headphones and every song spoke to me. So I found Shadow Poetry and found a kind of poem I have never heard of. (Monchielle) and just let it flow.

Oh man do I know how that feels.

Beautiful job! It was a wonderous poem filled with longing and desire and a passion for the righting of wrong. You write beautifully. :)
